Alicia and Hans had a VERY specific vision for their wedding day. They gave me two words to describe what they want, Winter Wonderland. And oh boy did they get it. On their wedding day was a full on blizzard! The setting of Winter Park, Colorado provided the perfect backdrop for their love story to unfold. Imagine a world where love knows no bounds, where a couple's vision can turn into a reality.
As a photographer, I had the pleasure of witnessing and capturing their special day. The adventure began even before the wedding day, as my assistant and I navigated the snowy terrain in my 4Runner in search of the perfect portrait locations. The deep snow reminded me of a blank canvas, waiting to be filled with the love and joy of this incredible couple. The couple wanted photos offs-site of the venue in a more natural wooded area. There was about 3 feet of snow that we drove and drifted through so I am not sure how we didn't get stuck. Well done Toyota! haha.

On the day of the wedding, as Alicia and Hans prepared for their nuptials. Alicia got ready in a spacious Airbnb and Hans got ready at the Winter Park Mountain Lodge. This resort has amazing views of the snow peaked mountains where you can watch the skiers and snowboarders glide down the slopes. Highly recommend! Before the ceremony there was a coffee cart serving the most tasty hot drinks to the guests while they entered the venue.
Most couples would have panicked and moved the ceremony indoors, but not these two. They stood in the midst of the falling snow, hand in hand, ready to take on whatever challenges came their way. Alicia's walk down the aisle, or shall we say, walk through a winter wonderland, with a cup of cappuccino in hand instead of a bouquet, was a moment to remember and very fitting. The symbolism of warmth and comfort in the midst of the cold and white world around her was truly magical. It was a reminder that love can conquer all, even the fiercest of storms.

The bride and groom portraits in the snowy pines were nothing short of stunning. The contrast of the white snow against the deep green of the pine trees created a scene straight out of a fairytale. These images will be cherished for years to come, a reminder of the love that flourished in the coldest of settings.
Back at the venue for the reception, the guests were mesmerized by Alicia and Hans sharing their first dance. There was a game room for the kids and a fun photobooth for the guests. We all danced the night away to some 80's rock and the night didn't stop until the lights got shut off. In the end, the night was filled with laughter, dancing, and memories that will last a lifetime. Alicia and Hans proved that love knows no bounds, and that a Winter Wonderland wedding is truly a dream come true. So here's to love, adventure, and the beauty of a snowy paradise where dreams become reality.
THE SECRET IS OUT!! I knew something that NO ONE else at the wedding now other than Alicia and Hans. They were expecting a baby! We took secretive photos with their ultrasound photo during the bride and groom portraits.
